I play with video editing on my phone. I mash up effects from various apps and see what happens. This is, by far, the most disturbing thing I’ve made.
And I love it! #ArtForArtsSake
As an artist (I’m told), the, creative process can sometimes create the most imbalanced of mental states. I’m at a place where I just want to scream ALL THE TIME. I don’t know if that’s imbalanced. It really seems kind of normal to me. Everyone around me looks like they want to scream, at least some of the time. Screaming feels like balance.
So… Scream.

Everything else is mine.
If you have an iPhone or iPad, and you’re a fan of darkroom photography, consider downloading the Darkr app.
This app has various features that simulate the darkroom experience, to create rich black & white photography. The photos above are examples of my experiments with Darkr.
Darkr takes patience. You need to have a grasp of Manual Mode photography, as opposed to point and shoot. There are no fancy filters. If you miss the shot, you’ll discover that, in the darkroom.
Darkr is worth it, though. Using dodge & burn, crop and blur, you can create stunning images worthy of print.
I’m still learning how to use this app. I’m excited about where Darkr will take me, in my growing body of work.
